Lauren Child's talk given at the London book fair inspired me to consider adding textures and patterns to my activity sheets. Throughout her work a combination of media is used, merging hand rendered and digital work into one. Child talked about the importance of observing your surrounding and noticing the small things. When looking at the Hive, I feel one of the stand out features is the honeycomb style tiles. I intend to use these as possible information/fact boxes or as a border for my pages.
